Mais c\u2019est avec un <em>\u00abblanc de noir\u00bb<\/em>, soit un pur pinot noir, tir\u00e9 de la quinzaine d\u2019hectares que la Maison Mauler poss\u00e8de sur le Littoral neuch\u00e2telois, la <em>Cuv\u00e9e Louis-Edouard Mauler 2014<\/em>, qu\u2019elle a remport\u00e9 le titre de meilleur vin mousseux au Grand Prix du Vin Suisse 2023. Ce titre national, elle l\u2019avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9croch\u00e9 en 2016, avec un vin qui n\u2019existe plus, <em>Bel H\u00e9ritage 2011<\/em>, non pas en <em>\u00abappellation d\u2019origine contr\u00f4l\u00e9e\u00bb<\/em>, mais en <em>\u00abvin de pays\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mauler produit aussi des mousseux \u00e0 base de jus provenant de France et de Suisse, comme cette <em>Cuv\u00e9e des B\u00e9n\u00e9dictins<\/em>, qui vient de remporter une des trois m\u00e9dailles d&rsquo;or suisses \u00e0 la 21\u00e8me confrontation <em>Effervescents du Monde<\/em> (500 vins, 80 m\u00e9dailles d&rsquo;or) et qui est compos\u00e9 de chardonnay, de colombard, de chenin et de pinot noir.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Renforcer la production locale, compl\u00e9ter une gamme de 15 vins pour 800&rsquo;000 bouteilles vendues par an, et s\u2019orienter toujours plus vers le bio, sont les objectifs du nouveau directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, <strong>Caleb Grob<\/strong>, un \u0153nologue zurichois qui a conduit pendant 16 ans les Caves de la B\u00e9roche (NE). A bient\u00f4t 60 ans, il a accept\u00e9 ce d\u00e9fi, qui devrait l\u2019amener au 200<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> anniversaire de la maison, au bas mot, et succ\u00e8de ainsi \u00e0 la direction op\u00e9rationnelle \u00e0 la quatri\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de la famille <strong>Mauler<\/strong>, <strong>Jean-Marie<\/strong>, qui devient pr\u00e9sident de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 et administrateur-d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Au moment des F\u00eates, ce vin vineux, car \u00e0 base du noble pinot noir \u00e0 jus blanc et m\u00fbri sur lies, en bouteilles, plusieurs ann\u00e9es avant le d\u00e9gorgement, agr\u00e9ablement brioch\u00e9 et capiteux, m\u00e9rite d\u2019aller au-del\u00e0 de l\u2019ap\u00e9ritif. Et quoi de plus joyeux qu\u2019un repas tout \u00abm\u00e9thode traditionnelle\u00bb? On escamote ce <em>\u00abflacon de trop\u00bb<\/em>, celui \u00e0 qui on attribue, le lendemain, notre t\u00eate lourde&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Petit d\u00e9tail: cette bouteille, comme on le voit sur la photo (de Martine Dutruit) n&rsquo;a pas de coiffe sur le muselet qui retient le bouchon. Eh bien, la Champagne vient de d\u00e9cider que la coiffe est obligatoire dans l&rsquo;AOC.
