Nossiter avait relat\u00e9 dans son livre \u00abLe go\u00fbt et le pouvoir\u00bb, paru chez Grasset, une <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thomasvino.com\/articles.php?lng=fr&amp;pg=993\"><b>conversation bourguignonne autour du chasselas<\/b><\/a>\u2026 <br \/>\nEchange peu glorieux. Et \u00e0 la question de savoir ce que pense le r\u00e9alisateur new-yorkais du principal c\u00e9page blanc vaudois, il r\u00e9pond aujourd&rsquo;hui, \u00abLe chasselas est glorieux !\u00bb. Il cite \u00e0 l\u2019appui un fendant de Gilliard (le plus vaudois des Valaisans\u2026) et des chasselas \u00abplus sophistiqu\u00e9s et complexes\u00bb de Louis-Philippe Bovard, le baron du D\u00e9zaley, dont les vins sont pr\u00e9sents sur certaines tables \u00e0 New York. Reste que, en conclusion de l\u2019interview, le r\u00e9alisateur en rajoute: \u00abJe suis s\u00fbr que notre impression aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 totalement diff\u00e9rente si nous l\u2019avions bu en Suisse un soir du mois d\u2019ao\u00fbt.\u00bb Pr\u00e9cision qui renvoie textuellement \u00e0 l\u2019analyse de Thomas Vaterlaus: le chasselas passe pour un grand vin uniquement dans son biotope. C\u2019est, bien s\u00fbr, cette image l\u00e0 qu\u2019il faut casser : le jour o\u00f9 le chasselas sera reconnu universellement, on pourra le boire avec fiert\u00e9 et d\u00e9lectation partout dans le monde\u2026<br \/>\nDans l\u2019interview du <i>Temps<\/i>, le r\u00e9alisateur cite les vins du Valaisan Jacques Granges, pionnier du bio (bio tout court d&rsquo;abord, puis biodynamie ensuite) dans son domaine vertigineux de Beudon, et trouve les merlots du Tessin \u00abcorrects, mais ils n\u2019avaient rien d\u2019exceptionnel\u00bb, marqu\u00e9s qu\u2019ils \u00e9taient par le bois. Au contraire de la bondola, vieux c\u00e9page tessinois vaincu par le phyllox\u00e9ra et le merlot en 1906, de Lorenzo Ostini, d\u2019Arbedo. Le g\u00e9niteur de <i>Mondovino<\/i> (le film et les DVD de la version longue) confesse: \u00abJe suis en train de d\u00e9couvrir \u00e0 quel point les c\u00e9pages autochtones suisses apportent de la r\u00e9sistance aux vins conformistes.\u00bb Et si \u00e7a se retrouve dans un prochain bouquin, tant mieux!
